Our afternoon programs conforrm the ASSD Talent School, a space to explore, discover and develop all participants' interests, abilities, skills, and talents.

Our proposal continues to grow in variety  to provide students with enriching experiences. We welcome The Music Corner, The Coding Space, and The Yellow Cube. These alliances contribute to the music, artistic expression, and coding courses.

Sports and Clubs

These classes have no additional cost and are exclusive for American School students, except for Math Club and Lego League, which requires an additional payment. Limited availability.

Introduction to Drawing and Painting

In this course, participants will learn to use basic drawing materials: charcoal, graphite pencils, and pastels. As for technique, they will learn to manage perspective, color and atmosphere. As well as a mastery of proportion and volume (with the use of light and shadow).

Musical Theatre

Participants will develop the skills of interpretation and representation of Musical Theater acts, combining dancing, singing and acting. They will learn individual and group acting and techniques for Musical Theater.

Coding or Programming

Participants learn coding using Scratch, students will learn the fundamentals of programming through the creation of interactive games. Taught by The Coding Space.

Jazz Dance

Modern Jazz Dance refers to a modern style that combines ballet technique with elements of contemporary and African dance. During the course the participants will learn the necessary techniques for body control which can be applied to any type of dance.

Music stimulation

Participants are immersed in music and movement. Introduction to musical instruments and an overall awareness of musical patterns. This program runs from September to December. Taught by The Music Corner.

Guitar / Piano

Interactive classes using play as a strategy. Musical reading and introduction to 1 instrument. Technical exercises. Including all the material needed, as well as access to the Virtual Music Classroom platform. This is a program runs from September to December. Taught by The Music Corner.

Artistic exploration

This artistic program is tailored to the participants interests and needs. Students experience the different languages of art (clay, paint, oil pastels, among others) and meet great masters of art, while we use what surrounds us as a source of inspiration (objects and nature). Taught by the Yellow Cube

Homework Supervision

Collaborative space where the student is autonomously motivated to develop their task and where they will be provided with the necessary tools to complete and understand it.

Chess I, II and III

Chess classes for Beginner (I), Intermediate (II) and Advanced (III) levels. Tactics and strategy classes in chess. Personalized individual training. Game practices in each class. Specific exercises for the development of cognitive and socio-affective skills: Preparation for tournaments. Training tournaments and the possibility of being part of the school team in inter-school tournaments.

Creative expression

Space that offers participants the opportunity to experience, discover, shape their expectations on their own initiative; in order to develop their potential, develop their own thinking and creative attitudes in dialogue with other students and the teacher.

Craft Club

In this workshop, we will be exposing the participants to a variety of materials in order to stimulate their imagination and creativity in order to manually create utilitarian and decorative objects.
